1. They misspelled my name.
2. They guy who ended up winning Regionals at 160 lb. was the same guy I pinned in 53 seconds earlier in the year. I’m sure he was a better overall wrestler than I was, but I sure surprised him in that match. Nevertheless, while I was looking forward to a rematch in Regionals, I got overconfident and beaten by a kid from Freeman I’d crushed earlier in the year. I ended up placing 3rd in a hard fought contest against a kid from Clover Hill to whom I’d lost twice previously, but never got to wrestle the eventual champion from J.R. Tucker.
Life’s funny that way.
